Zhambyl Students Join International Leadership Project

On October 27, the selection round for the international project Beginit Central Asia by inDrive took place in the Zhambyl region. The program aims to nurture a new generation of social leaders in Kazakhstan.

The event brought together over 100 students from across the Zhambyl region, along with their parents, teachers, participants, and winners from previous seasons. Among the notable attendees were Aigerim Nauryzbekova, the regional manager of Zhambyl Hub, and Samat Sayakov, coordinator of the Beginit Central Asia project by inDrive.

During the selection process, schoolchildren from various parts of the region engaged in activities designed to assess their leadership potential. They also learned about the role of social leaders and the importance of developing these essential skills. Participants enthusiastically discussed ideas for social projects, proposed solutions to pressing issues, and completed test tasks. Based on these results, the most promising students will advance to the next stage.

Those who succeed in the selection round will embark on an educational module focused on social leadership principles. They will gain insights into the value of active civic engagement, develop project ideas to improve living conditions in their communities, and present these initiatives to a wider audience. Participants will also have the chance to visit the regional offices of Astana Hub, a key partner of the project, to explore innovation centers. The program will culminate in June 2025 with the final presentation of their projects.

Last season, out of more than 800 applicants, 37 participants made it to the finals. Seven winners received scholarships for study abroad, preparatory courses for the UNT, and computers. Additionally, 18 finalists were invited to the Foundation Year program at the innovative university inVision U.
