National Payment Corporation of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NPC RK) and MOST Holding, with the support of Visa, announces the start of accepting applications for a competition for fintech startups - Fintech Stars. The event will be held within the framework of the Central Asia Fintech Summit and is aimed at supporting innovative solutions for the financial ecosystem of Central Asia.

In 2023, global investments in fintech amounted to $113.7 billion, showing a steady increase in interest in this area. Participation in Fintech Stars is a chance for startups to make themselves known, receive their first investments and attract the attention of industry leaders.

The competition is open to startups at the stage of Seed and Pre - seed registered in Kazakhstan or other Central Asian countries. Special attention will be paid to projects in the following areas:

- Open Banking  

- De-Fi (Decentralized Finance)  

- Artificial intelligence for fintech  

- Payment systems

The prize pool and unique opportunities

The winners will receive a prize pool of $50,000, as well as:

- Mentoring support from industry leaders  

- Coverage in leading media and access to key investors  

- The opportunity to participate in acceleration programs from MOST Business Intelligence

- Secret Prize

Registration for the competition is open until October 1, 2024. The finalists will be announced on October 6th. Applications can be submitted via the online form on the event's website.
