The robot will be able to autonomously and regularly (according to a schedule) build an accurate three-dimensional map of the surrounding space without the need for manual intervention. The map will be available in JSON format via the REST API, which will provide easy integration with external systems (for example, digital twins, dispatching or analytics systems). Thanks to the automatic calibration of the camera system, the robot will maintain high accuracy of perception of the environment even when changing the geometry of the camera placement, which will increase reliability and long-term autonomy in difficult conditions.
Development of software for a robot with a multisensory camera system that provides the construction of a three-dimensional map of the surrounding space in real time. The project involves the creation of software capable of aggregating video streams from 8 cameras arranged in a circle, performing automatic calibration when their position changes, building a 3D model of the environment and providing data via the REST API in JSON format. The solution will be integrated into an autonomous robot control system to perform regular rounds and monitor the space.

Purpose and description of task (project)
Existing 3D mapping solutions often assume a static and precisely calibrated camera position, which does not take into account dynamic changes in real-world operating conditions (vibrations, temperature deformations, mechanical impacts). A robot with 8 cameras requires constant support for the accuracy of perception of the environment, especially when working autonomously in industrial, agricultural or difficult natural conditions (for example, in caves, greenhouses, warehouses). The lack of software capable of simultaneously performing online calibration, 3D mapping, and data transmission in a standardized format limits the robot's ability to integrate into digital monitoring and control systems.
