The global financial system is fragmented. Integration between the old COBOL/AS400 banking cores and the new DeFi and CBDC FinTech solutions requires enormous costs for manual development of API connectors and field mapping. Existing ESB and iPaaS solutions operate on the basis of deterministic rules that cannot cope with changes in regulatory regulations and a variety of data formats on the fly. The problem lies in the lack of a "universal translator" for business logic that could guarantee the semantic equivalence of data when translating from one system to another without losing its legal significance. Also, current RSA/ECC encryption standards are becoming vulnerable to the development of quantum computing, which poses an existential threat to the long-term storage of financial records.
