About TUMO

TUMO is an innovative center for continuing education, which allows teenagers to independently pave the way for learning. Founded in 2011 in Yerevan, Armenia, TUMO has since expanded worldwide, opening centers in Berlin, Paris, Lisbon and other cities. At the TUMO Astana Center, students choose from a variety of interdisciplinary fields, including animation, 3D modeling, programming, robotics, cinematography, graphic design, music, game development, drawing and photography, combining independent study with workshops conducted by professionals.

Robotics Workshop Leader is responsible for conducting workshops, mentoring teenagers, and evaluating their work in the field of robotics. You will have a unique opportunity to inspire students between the ages of 12 and 18, helping them discover the exciting world of robotics through hands-on projects, group sessions, and individual feedback.

The key task of Robotics Workshop Leader is to organize and conduct robotics workshops, guide teenagers in mastering technical skills and solving practical problems, monitor student attendance and progress, ensuring their support and successful completion of the educational program.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting month-long robotics workshops in accordance with established curricula and goals.

  • Evaluation of students' projects at the end of each master class with constructive feedback and recommendations.

  • Weekly review of students' progress in self-study and provision of personalized support to unlock their potential.

  • Conducting demonstrations and events that arouse interest and passion in robotics.

  • Creating a friendly, vibrant and inclusive educational environment.

  • Participation in the initial training at the TUMO headquarters in Yerevan, Armenia.

  • Performing other tasks, if necessary, related to conducting workshops and supporting the center's program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, robotics, or a related field (Master's degree is welcome), or equivalent professional experience (at least three years).
  • Excellent command of Arduino IoT, C++.

  • Knowledge and practical experience of working with Lego EV3 Classroom or other educational platforms (Arduino, Micro:bit, Raspberry Pi, etc.).

  • Visual programming skills (EV3 Classroom/Scratch) and basic knowledge of text languages (Python, C/C++, JavaScript) are welcome.

  • Excellent communication skills, including written, oral and presentation speech in Kazakh and Russian; knowledge of English at least B1 is mandatory.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to inspire and motivate students.
