Senior GCP DevOps Engineer

Brief Description

  • We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the migration from AWS to GCP and to configure and optimize CI/CD processes. The primary mission is to build a reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure on GCP using Terraform, GitLab, and modern monitoring tools. You’ll be working alongside software engineers, SREs, and cloud architects. 

Responsibilities

  • Build cloud-native infrastructure on GCP using VPC, IAM, GKE, Cloud SQL, and Cloud Storage
  • Containerize with Docker and orchestrate via Kubernetes and Helm
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Use Terraform and Ansible as daily infrastructure tools
  • Script automation and tooling with Python and Bash
  • Monitor systems and resolve issues before they escalate
  • Review code, document changes, and improve engineering practices

Requirements

Professional Certification: At least one of the following GCP certifications is required: 

  • Cloud Architect
  • Cloud Database Engineer
  • Cloud Developer
  • Cloud DevOps Engineer
  • Cloud Network Engineer
  • Cloud Security Engineer 

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of core AWS services and differences from GCP
  • Experience with cloud-to-cloud migrations 
  • Strong understanding of PKI, certificate management, and secure data exchange (HL7, clinical documents, secure email) 
  • Healthcare domain knowledge: HL7, Fyre, IAG profiles, clinical documentation workflows

Senior Data Engineer (EST)

Brief Description

  •  We are currently looking for Data Engineers with EST availability to assist in developing intelligent solutions enabling our customers to accelerate discovery, acquire clinical insights, and address R&D challenges. 

Responsibilities

  • Data organization and analysis: handling structured, semi-structured, unstructured, and image-based data.
  • Building data systems and pipelines
  • Preparing data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
  • Designing end-to-end pipelines within a hybrid big data architecture, using Cloud Native AWS, Python, SQL, etc.
  • Leveraging AWS Cloud services for building data pipelines and ensuring effective monitoring
  • Collaborating with data scientists and architects across various projects

Requirements

  • Highly preferred technical skills: Dataiku, Tableau, Streamlit, Artifactory
  • 5+ years of Data Engineering experience utilizing designated technologies and tools.
  • Profound knowledge and hands-on experience with Python (Pandas, boto3), SQL, Spark, Databricks, DWH, Snowflake
  • Proficient use of orchestrators such as Airflow
  • Expertise with AWS services essential for Data Engineering: AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, S3, RDS, Redshift, Athena, SQS, SNS, etc.
  • Ability to write robust code with Python.
  • Deep understanding of pub-sub architecture
  • Strong upper-intermediate or higher (B2+) proficiency in English
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A background or experience in life science, particularly in neuroscience (NS) projects, is highly preferred.
  • Experience in designing laboratory and/or medical data management systems is a plus.
  • Willing to work East Coast Hours (GMT-4) - at least for the first two-three months, then the schedule may become more compromised/flexible.

Senior HPC Engineer

Brief Descriptio

We are looking for an experienced Linux engineer for a full-time position. The position’s main focus will be to support high performance computing (HPC) clusters. Most Linux footprint within the environment is RHEL-based, deployed both on-prem and in cloud. Additional focus will be on supporting, building, and maintaining the scientific software, which will require some basic development skills (scripting languages, makefiles, etc.). Candidates are expected to work with various internal technical teams to manage and further develop the growing infrastructure, streamline management and operation of the footprint.

Responsibilities

  • Manage HPC cluster configuration and Linux based computation servers, as well as provide performance tuning.
  • Assist in resolving performance issues on the cluster, help with designing HPC jobs.
  • Install, configure, and manage Linux systems throughout the environment using HPC-specific software.
  • Apply consistent security configuration standards across the Linux infrastructure
  • Implement and maintain management and monitoring tools.
  • Develop opportunities to streamline and automate deployment and configuration tasks.
  • Provide technical support and guidance for Linux deployments.
  • Build from source, install, configure, and manage linux applications on the cluster.

 

Requirements

  • Experience in supporting production RHEL-like Linux servers and applications (5+ years), general knowledge of common open-source applications, such as NGINX, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Git
  • General understanding of services like DHCP/DNS/NTP
  • Experience with Ansible or similar configuration-as-a-code software: 3+ years
  • Comfortable with configuring OS images from scratch
  • Comfortable with building software from the source code, understanding the concept of dependencies, libraries, and linking
  • Background in remote management of large on-prem infrastructure (multiple servers, switches, storages, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Performance optimization skills in Linux
  • Excellent communication skills with the English proficiency of at least B2+ 
  • AWS: hands-on experience with production environment
  • Hands-on experience with HPC cluster software: Bright Cluster Manager, Univa Grid Engine, Slurm, EasyBuild, Spack
  • Python/R or similar scripting language
