How Kazakhstan Is Attracting Global IT Talent
Kazakhstan has launched the Digital Nomad Residency program, unlocking new opportunities for foreign IT specialists.
Speaking on national TV channel 24KZ, Talgat Maratov, Director of the Participant Support Office at Astana Hub, shared insights into the initiative and explained which professionals are eligible.
According to him, the program enables foreign IT specialists and digital nomads to legally reside in Kazakhstan while working remotely, maintaining employment with overseas companies. At the same time, they also have the opportunity to join local IT firms.
“This is part of Kazakhstan’s broader strategy to attract global talent to the tech sector and create a favorable environment for remote work. The residency is available to professionals in fields such as IT architecture, software development, software support, artificial intelligence, and other in-demand tech roles,” Maratov explained.
