Aqtobe Hub Launches First Wave of Startups – 13 Projects in Three Months
Young entrepreneurs in Aktobe unveiled their innovative solutions — from a cashier-less micromarket and a text-to-video platform to an AI assistant for diabetics — as the result of three months in the Aqtobe Hub startup incubator. The teams advanced from idea to first customers, creating tech products aimed at transforming the regional economy.

At Demo Day, the key event of the incubator, participants presented their innovative projects developed under the guidance of expert mentors and with support from leading partners.
“The incubation program offered comprehensive support, including product development (MVP), hypothesis validation, go-to-market strategy, early-stage investment attraction, and pitch preparation. All participants received guidance from trackers and experts, along with access to educational and mentoring sessions. As a result, 13 startups were created, five of which have already made their first sales. The most promising teams will have the opportunity to join Astana Hub programs and scale their businesses,” said Serik Sundetov, Regional Manager at Aqtobe Hub.
Among the standout projects were: Sen — a smart, cashier-free micromarket using advanced automation technology; TextToVideos — a one-click platform that turns text into short, dynamic videos using AI; and AI Sakharok — an AI-powered assistant for diabetics that personalizes meal plans and helps monitor blood sugar levels.
“I entered the incubator without an idea, but with a strong desire to build something useful. Thanks to intense work, tracker support, and a structured approach to hypothesis testing, I’m now developing an international AI startup. It’s not about initial resources, but the willingness to learn quickly, adapt, and take action,” shared Bakhtiyar Sagidanov, founder of Sen.
Before joining the incubator, Aidana Tangulova, founder of AI Sakharok, had no experience in programming or AI development. But as a family doctor, she understood that diabetic patients need accessible and clear nutritional support.
“The incubator gave me invaluable experience. I learned the basics of AI, how to build a product, test ideas, and attract early users. That’s how my startup — an AI consultant for meal planning — was born. Now I’m confident that even without a tech background, you can build a tech product if there’s a real need behind it,” she said.
The most impactful startups were recognized for their innovation and practical value and received special awards. Other participants who successfully completed the program were awarded certificates. These included projects such as Histology Simple, Smart Assistant, Wowenbek, Algadem, Basymai, Compliance, Relactation, Talasai, Umit, and Mille Pharm.
Aqtobe Hub helps students and young professionals turn innovative ideas into real startups, contributing to the development of the regional innovation ecosystem. The incubator was launched with support from the Sun Sustainable Development Fund and the West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov Medical University, which provided expert and methodological assistance.
