High-Tech Situational Center to Be Established at alem.ai in Astana

A meeting took place at Astana Hub between the tech park’s CEO Magzhan Madiyev and Thomas Pramotedham, Chairman of the Board at Presight. The two sides discussed strategic partnership opportunities in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and collaborative projects.

Thomas Pramotedham emphasized that Presight—a subsidiary of G42 and a global leader in big data analytics and AI—is committed to actively supporting Kazakhstan’s digital development. A key area of collaboration will be the creation of a state-of-the-art Situational Center at the alem.ai campus in Astana, envisioned as the city’s central AI-powered hub for infrastructure management. The Center will play a pivotal role in monitoring, analyzing, and coordinating urban operations under Kazakhstan’s broader Smart City initiative.

Powered by advanced AI algorithms, the Situational Center will feature predictive traffic analytics, automated incident detection, facial and vehicle recognition, and abnormal behavior monitoring. The integration of these AI technologies will significantly enhance the efficiency of municipal services, shorten response times, and streamline urban infrastructure management.

The Center will consolidate data from more than 22,000 sensors and IoT devices across the city, expanding coverage by 67%. AI-powered data processing will track pedestrian and vehicle movement, detect violations, and feed real-time insights to city authorities. Additionally, the platform will be integrated with a Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) system, allowing emergency services to operate from a unified interface, manage security operations, and forecast potential risks.

“We greatly value Kazakhstan’s leadership in embracing cutting-edge digital technologies and its strong commitment to AI development—particularly through the creation of alem.ai. Presight is fully aligned with this vision and ready to contribute its technology, expertise, and resources to help Kazakhstan become a leader in the global digital economy,” said Thomas Pramotedham.

As part of the alem.ai initiative, Presight and Astana Hub will continue working together in the fields of artificial intelligence, data analytics, and AI talent development. Presight also plans to implement AI-based solutions across both public and private sectors, while supporting data-driven startups.
