      The Draper University Silicon Valley Hero Training
      is a five-week entrepreneurship program that provides
      intensive, immersive training for aspiring entrepreneurs
      in Silicon Valley, California.
     
      This program will equip you with the crucial startup
      skills needed to successfully launch and sustain
      a global venture. Entrepreneurs will also have the
      opportunity to connect with industry experts,
      network with other international entrepreneurs,
      and develop funding and revenue
      generation strategies.

ABOUT PARTNER

      Draper University is a unique institution that promotes
      entrepreneurship and disruption of traditional education
      models. They work to inspire founders and accelerate ideas
      by igniting the entrepreneurial spirit globally.

PROGRAM OUTLINE

ACCELERATION AT DRAPER UNIVERSITY
5 WEEKS

    • Week 1
    •  • Workshops and info sessions on experience design, business and entrepreneurship, team analytics, leadership, and safety presentations.
    • • Fireside chat session with entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley.
 
    • Week 2
    • • Week-long program teaching essential survival skills and strategies.
    • • Session on category design, keynote session on computer vision, hackathon, Demo Day with BuildAI. 
 
    • Week 3
    • • Ask Me Anything sessions with field experts and entrepreneurs, fundraising sessions, workshops on pitching and pitch decks, and customer interviewing sessions. 
 
    • Week 4
    • • Pitch practices and feedback, summit event on innovations, workshop on immigration-related matters, Pitch Day with Tim Draper.
 
  • Week 5
  • • Session on building a professional network,  mergers and acquisitions, workshop on hiring practices, problem-solving strategies.

For residents:
The costs of the program for Astana Hub residents - $2,990 per participant 

OR

For non-residents:
The costs of the program for non-residents - $10,000 per participant

The Hero Training program will be held in San Mateo, California, US

The program participants will receive access to co-working and co-living facilities:

• The co-working facility will be located at the Draper University campus
• The co-living facility will be provided in a shared facility with up to four people per room

The program will be held in an in-person format

Eligibility criteria

FAQ

  • What is the Hero Training Program?

    Hero Training is an accelerator program from Astana Hub and Draper University for startups from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey. It is conducted by Silicon Valley experts and aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills they need to turn their ideas into successful startups. The training is divided into 12 modules, each focusing on different aspects of startup and entrepreneurship development.

  • Who is eligible to apply for the program?

    The program is open for startups in MVP stage and higher from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkiye, Mongolia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. Selected startups must have a legal entity in Kazakhstan. 

  • What are the costs associated with the program?

    The cost of the program is $3,000 per participant. This doesn't cover the travel expenses of startups. 

  • What are the key dates for the program?

    August 30: Application deadline
    September 2-9: Applications review and  selection of top 10 startups by expert commission 
    September 10-October 15: Organizational processes
    October 18: Check-in at Draper University
    October 21: Start of the Hero Training Program
    November 22: Graduation Ceremony

  • What kind of support will participants receive?

    Participants will receive assistance in attracting external investments, deep customer discovery learning, engagement with experienced speakers and mentors, co-living (housing) in the US, and access to a vibrant community at the Silicon Valley.

  • How many startups will be selected?

    10 startups will be selected for the program.
