AI’preneurs 2025: Second Cohort of AI Startup Acceleration Program Launches

The second cohort of AI’preneurs — one of Kazakhstan’s first startup accelerators focused on artificial intelligence — has officially launched at Astana Hub. The program has sparked strong interest among IT entrepreneurs, innovators, and specialists: in 2025, a total of 360 applications were submitted from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Kyrgyzstan.

Following a competitive selection process, 58 participants were admitted to the program. The average age of the finalists is 33. The cohort includes professionals with backgrounds in technology and business, with a strong representation of practitioners: current entrepreneurs, corporate employees, and freelancers. Many have prior experience working with international companies and tech-driven projects.

“AI’preneurs is more than just an accelerator — it’s an investment in people who will create the ideas, technologies, and products of tomorrow. We’re witnessing rapid growth in the AI ecosystem, and our role as a state is to provide strong teams and talents with a solid launchpad for scaling. We offer access to critical resources — from datasets and computing power to early-stage investment through SAFE agreements. These are exactly the kinds of conditions that unlock the potential of driven participants who are helping us move toward the ambitious national goals set by the Head of State: training 10,000 AI specialists, nurturing five tech unicorns, and reaching $5 billion in annual IT service exports by 2030,” noted Zhaslan Madiyev, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

AI’preneurs is held in-person in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. All participants from other cities and countries are provided with accommodation for the duration of the program. The acceleration lasts three months and includes educational events, one-on-one consultations with industry experts, and hands-on work on startup projects.

The program is part of Kazakhstan’s national initiative for AI development and is aimed at building a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem that creates AI-powered solutions.

To recall, the results of the first AI’preneurs cohort confirmed strong interest in the program and the high potential of its participants. Last year, 250 applications were submitted, 50 specialists were selected, and 21 teams were formed — 9 of which successfully completed the acceleration and secured funding through the Seed Money program.
