Astana Hub and the US Embassy discuss cooperation

The development of innovative technologies in Kazakhstan, as well as the export of Kazakhstani IT developments were discussed with representatives of the US Embassy and the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan at a meeting in Astana Hub.


The meeting was attended by Advisor to the U.S. Ambassador to Kazakhstan on Economic Issues, Head of the Economic Department Heidi Jovanovich, Assistant for Economic Affairs Laura E. Hayes, coordinator of the program "International Visits" Elina Akhtiyarova, as well as Director of the Corporate Governance Department of ICRIAP RK Dauren Rakhimzhanov.  

General Director of Astana Hub Magzhan Madiyev conducted a tour for the guests and also spoke about the activities of the technopark, current achievements and opportunities for foreign startups. Recall that English law applies to the participants of the Hub, they also have a simplified visa regime for up to five years, tax benefits, free work zones, acceleration and incubation programs are available to them, there is an opportunity to attract talented young specialists from Astana IT-University, Alem School and much more to the team.

Magzhan Madiyev stressed that the technopark is always happy to cooperate with projects from different countries, including the USA. For example, in the near future it is planned to collaborate Astana Hub with the world-famous accelerator from Silicon Valley. 

The meeting participants discussed the development of innovative technologies in Kazakhstan, including 5G, cryptomining, as well as plans to stimulate the export of Kazakhstani IT developments and the development of women's IT entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan.

Representatives of the Embassy and ICRIAP noted the great work done by the technopark team and expressed hope for further cooperation.
