Around 200 participants attended the event, including representatives from approximately 80 IT companies. Attendees were introduced to Astana Hub’s opportunities, educational and acceleration programs, tax incentives, as well as tools for entering international markets and attracting investment. A special emphasis was placed on building a unified digital ecosystem for tech teams across the country.
“Our ambition is to create a unified environment where IT teams across the country have equal access to Astana Hub resources. We are focused on supporting and scaling innovative projects, and Almaty is one of the most dynamically developing cities for tech startups. Today’s meeting is a great opportunity for local teams not only to learn about the cluster’s capabilities but also to directly engage with our experts, mentors, and potential partners,” said Astana Hub Managing Director Nazgul Baitemirova.
As part of the program, Director of the Astana Hub Participant Support Office, Nurmakhan Zakarin, presented the Trusted Kazakhstan initiative — a comprehensive program designed to create clear conditions for international IT professionals and technology companies in Kazakhstan. The initiative establishes a unified entry pathway into the country, combining visa and residency solutions, access to the tech community, and tools for integration into the local ecosystem.
A special guest of the Open Day was Arman Suleimenov, who spoke on “The NFactorial Universe.” He shared insights into the development of the NFactorial educational ecosystem, key results and achievements of the project, and how the team leverages Astana Hub’s opportunities within the cluster’s partnership ecosystem. He also highlighted that collaboration with Astana Hub helps scale educational initiatives and strengthen their impact on IT talent development in the region.
State support and the development of the IT ecosystem remain key priorities of national policy, and events such as Open Day play an important role in training IT talent, launching new projects, and promoting Kazakhstani businesses on the international stage.
