During his working trip to the East Kazakhstan region, the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bagdat Mussin, together with the Akim of the East Kazakhstan region, Daniyal Akhmetov, officially opened the regional IT hub.
A memorandum of cooperation for the development of the regional hub was signed between the technopark Astana Hub, the regional administration, and D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the local IT community. As the minister noted on his social media pages, the main goal of the IT hub is to foster local startups and provide support measures for further growth.
The first residents of the regional hub presented their projects. Among them are a Telegram bot for students and applicants, as well as a parental control application that helps monitor children's online activity.
In the future, educational programs for aspiring entrepreneurs, pre-incubation programs, hackathons, Olympiads, and competitive programming championships will be implemented at the Oskemen IT hub with the support of Astana Hub. The hub will also have a co-working space for startups.
