More than 200 startups from Central Eurasia competed at the Astana Hub Battle

Digital Bridge 2023 hosted one of the largest startup battles in the IT world - Astana Hub Battle. More than 200 IT companies from Central Eurasia took part in the exciting battle, fighting for a total prize fund of $125,000 to develop their IT products.


100 of the most competitive projects made it to the semi-finals of the battle, of which 10 were selected to battle in the finals: Garderob, Cleek, MyMind, Porte, ProsperPay, Qtap, Beksar, TrustContract, IMPRO, MyStory.

This year, the winners of the Astana Hub Battle were determined in five categories, each of which received $25,000 :

Best Social Impact: The winner was MyMind , which aims to detect dementia in its early stages. The prize was presented by Tim Draper, venture investor, co-founder of the venture capital firm Draper Fisher Jurvetson, founder of Draper University and Draper Venture Network.


The Most Innovative: The winner was the Qtap platform , which offers impressive functionality of a social network, website builder and online payments in a single ecosystem. The prize was presented by Timur Turlov, Chief Executive Officer of Freedom Holding Corp.


Exponential Growth: The winner was Beksar , which provides the ability to digitize point-of-sale data using a laptop or smartphone. The prize was presented by Mikhail Lomtadze, CEO and co-founder of Kaspi.kz. 


Best AI Startup: MyStory , a service specializing in creating personalized fairy tales, made the biggest impression among artificial intelligence startups. The prize was presented by Murat Abdrakhmanov, a venture investor.

Most Investable Startup:  The title of most innovative startup went to Porte , which replaces magnetic keys with digital ones in hotels. The prize was presented by Mirat Akhmetsadykov, managing partner of the MOST Ventures fund

Also at the Astana Hub Battle, the Shaby t project , created by schoolchildren from Astana, earned the audience award in the amount of 1 million tenge. Their development - the AIDAHAR robot, equipped with artificial intelligence, is capable of effectively extinguishing fires in hard-to-reach places. The prize was presented by Bagdat Musin, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Scalable projects at the MVP or PMF stage took part in the Astana Hub Battle. Applications were received from startups from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Singapore, UAE, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, USA, Azerbaijan, Russia, Mongolia. Previously the winners of the battle were startups Kwaaka, NBfit, UvU, Parqour, EasyTap, Kid Security.

Let us remind you that Digital Bridge is the largest IT forum in Central Asia, which is held with the participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev. The main topic of the forum this year was a discussion of the role of artificial intelligence in the modern world - Artificial and Human Intelligence: The right balance.
