Digital Almaty 2023: 100 IT projects are presenting themselves at the Startup Alley

The Startup Alley, organized as part of the 5th International Digital Forum Digital Almaty 2023, presents an exhibition of the top 100 projects in areas such as FinTech, Smart City, EDtech, GameDev, IoT, 5G, SaaS, Blockchain, Big Data, MedTech, Logistic&Travel, and others.

"More than 15 thousand people came to Digital Almaty this year. The forum brought together large venture funds from different countries, representatives of international IT companies, unicorns, mass media, and the IT community. We also see that the demand for participation in the Startup Alley is growing rapidly every year. This is a unique opportunity for young IT companies to increase recognition of their product, attract investments, conclude mutually beneficial cooperation as well as get acquainted with the best projects of other countries,” - said Magzhan Madiyev, CEO of Astana Hub.

At the Startup Alley, forum visitors could see the best startups at the MVP, PMF, and Scale stages from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and other countries.
For example, the startup Connected Home presented a system of smart homes and automation of commercial and residential premises. Payda showed an accounting service for owners of small and medium-sized businesses on a simplified tax regime. Suretter software presented embedded software for consumer photo and video cameras: sports cameras, and VR 360 cameras. JET - a service for short-term scooter rentals through a mobile app. OQYLYQ - a learning management system focused primarily on organizing interaction between teachers and students in a digital environment.

"We were interested to participate in the forum, it is the largest tech-vent in Almaty. And we are happy to present our project to the forum guests. Our project was successfully launched on the Kazakhstani market in 2021. In the near future, we plan to launch it in Turkey, and we also plan to expand to the Middle East. The purpose of entering the international market is to provide digital financial services in accordance with the principles of Islam", - said Dastan Baisalbayev, CEO of the digital financial service Tayyab.

The founder of Juzzim (Kazakhstani social network) Gabiden Tileuov, also noted the need for such large events that develop human capital and increase the IT potential of our country.
"The development of the IT sphere in the country is inevitable, as it is a worldwide trend, but support from the state is very important. Startup Alley is definitely needed on a regular basis. Our startup is aimed at the promotion and preservation of national traditions and rituals of any nation, and of course, initially focused on Kazakhstan," he said.

Digital Almaty is a traditional dialogue platform for discussing the digital agenda, new strategies for digital transformation, and trends in digital technology. The forum has been held for the fifth time since 2018. The event is organized by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akimat of Almaty City, Tech Garden and Astana Hub.
