The award brought together leading technology companies, startups, government initiatives, and regional projects that have made a significant contribution to the country’s digital transformation.
This year, 345 applications were submitted for participation in the awards. A total of 162 projects from across Kazakhstan were shortlisted for the final stage. Winners in five categories were selected based on a multi-stage evaluation process, including AI-powered analytical assessment and expert jury decisions:
In the Best AI Government Services category, the winner was Alaqan, a digital platform for automating and monitoring the delivery of public services. The award was presented by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhaslan Madiyev.
In the Best Industrial AI Project category, the winner was Aspans with its Fractal project, a digital AI-powered platform for managing industrial safety and operational processes. The award was presented by Bagdat Mussin, Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakhtelecom JSC.
In the Regional AI Transformation category, the winner was Ikigai Promotion with a project focused on developing an ecosystem for implementing artificial intelligence in business and education across Kazakhstan’s regions. The award was presented by Erkebulan Ilyasov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alageum Electric Group.
In the AI for Social Impact category, the winner was Codo with its “HR+” (ASPPM) project, a system for monitoring the psycho-emotional state of children. The award was presented by Dinara Shcheglova, Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In the Best AI Startup category, the winner was Protector AI, an artificial intelligence and computer vision-based video analytics system that detects signs of aggressive behavior. The award was presented by Timur Turlov, Chief Executive Officer of Freedom Holding Corp.
Participation in the Digital Qazaqstan Awards provides an opportunity for professional recognition, enables projects to be showcased to a broad expert audience, and integrates them into the national agenda of Kazakhstan’s digital transformation.
It should be noted that on March 27, the Digital Qazaqstan 2026 Forum is taking place in Shymkent. The theme of the event is “Industry 5.0: The Power of Collaboration.” The forum is organized by the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of Shymkent, and the Astana Hub international innovation cluster.
