Female Founders Invest Day: Empowering Women in Tech Entrepreneurship

The first Female Founders Invest Day was held in Astana, organized by the Kazakhstan chapter of the global non-profit organization Women in Tech, with the support of Astana Hub. The event aimed to support early-stage startups founded by women and to foster their growth in the tech ecosystem.

Participants received access to expert feedback, gained tools to strengthen their market presence, and contributed to increasing the visibility of women-led entrepreneurship in the tech sector.

Out of 45 applications, 12 startups were selected for the final pitch session in front of a jury composed of representatives from venture funds, accelerators, and hubs across Central Asia, Europe, and Saudi Arabia. Among the experts were Bolat Basheev (Axiom, Kazakhstan), Nurdaulet Bazylbekov (Eurasian Hub, UK), Nazerke Kalidolda (Sturgeon Capital), and others.

The participating startups spanned a wide range of industries, including Health Tech (Fabstory, EZSpeech, Spara), EdTech (Smartestprep, epsilon.ai), HR-tech (Qural.ai), SaaS (Flowsell, Pwron.ai), Security (Aman Online App), Eco (Green Basket), and FinTech (ProFinex, relai.kz).

This diverse lineup highlights the active role of women entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan in creating tech-driven solutions that address pressing social issues in healthcare, education, and overall quality of life.
