Kazakh Startup ApartX Simplifies Life for Landlords: No More Tax Reports
Proptech startup ApartX, a resident of Astana Hub, has introduced a platform employment mechanism for apartment owners renting out their property. Now, landlords using ApartX can operate legally and officially — in just a few clicks, with no need for accountants or filing tax declarations manually.

ApartX is included in the official register of digital platforms maintained by the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This grants the company the right to submit tax reports on behalf of users who operate under the platform employment model. Importantly, landlords do not sign individual agreements with the tax authorities — all interaction takes place via the platform.
The system automates tax filing for users providing services or performing work through online platforms and mobile applications. To use the service, one must register as an individual entrepreneur and choose the special tax regime. The tax rate is just 1%, similar to the e-Salyq Business system. After registering in the app, users enter their monthly income, and the system calculates taxes and related payments (pension contributions, mandatory health insurance, etc.), offering direct payment through the service.
“Platform employment is a legal and transparent way to declare income. Our solution simplifies life for those who want to rent out their property officially but don't want to deal with the complexities of tax law. ApartX automates the entire process — from registration to tax payment. Our fee is only 3% of the tax amount — that is, 3% of 1%, making us one of the most affordable services on the market. Monthly reporting via the platform is equivalent to filing a declaration, so users don’t need to report separately,” said Kanat Keldibekov, founder of ApartX.
ApartX is a next-generation proptech platform that makes apartments fully autonomous for rental. The system integrates artificial intelligence, acting as a virtual property manager — handling tenant communication, generating digital contracts, tracking payments, providing keyless access, and protecting both parties. All processes — from booking to check-out — are fully automated and require no human involvement.
The platform currently serves 150,000 users and has facilitated over 500,000 rental transactions for 6,200 properties across Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Qatar, China, and Southeast Asia.
