As part of its efforts to support key initiatives in artificial intelligence and digital transformation in Kazakhstan, Presight has opened a new office in Astana to support local projects and expand its regional operations.

The new office, located on the EXPO site, serves as a regional hub for Central Asia. Currently, more than 40 highly skilled Kazakhstani professionals are employed at the office, highlighting the company’s strong commitment to developing local talent and contributing to the country’s digital transformation.

During the official ceremony attended by the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed, the following agreements involving Presight were signed:

• An agreement for the delivery of two Nvidia H200 superpods as part of a state-of-the-art AI supercomputer to enable Kazakhstan’s digital transformation initiatives;
• An agreement to create a data center to support the digital infrastructure of the Astana Smart City project.

Presight’s work in Kazakhstan further strengthens the country’s regional leadership in AI through projects like the Alem AI National Center for Artificial Intelligence, the first large-scale artificial intelligence hub in Central Asia. Within this framework, Presight will establish an AI Command and Control Center at Alem AI, serving as the brain of Astana’s smart infrastructure. This advanced platform will enable intelligent monitoring and decision-making across key urban systems, from mobility and energy to public safety and infrastructure services.

The Astana smart city project will reinforce Kazakhstan’s position as a regional AI leader and serve as a benchmark globally for digital enablement. From enhanced public safety and real-time infrastructure management to sustainable energy use and responsive city services, the initiative is designed to complement other government initiatives aimed at improving community wellbeing further. Notably, 60% of the project is being delivered by Kazakh suppliers, ensuring local engagement and economic contribution.

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s official State visit exemplifies the strength of UAE-Kazakhstan bilateral relations, rooted in trust, collaboration, and visionary leadership focused on accelerating the digital evolution of capital cities.
