President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the significance of expanding the innovation ecosystem at the regional level during his Address to the people of Kazakhstan titled "The Economic Course of a Fair Kazakhstan." He tasked for the broad scaling of the Astana Hub experience.
"Regional hubs play a vital role in fostering the growth of the IT sector across different regions. These centers serve as catalysts for local startups, entrepreneurs, and professionals by granting access to educational programs, networking opportunities, investment avenues, and technology resources. Through partnerships with Digital Nomads and Google Developers Group, workshops, Olympiads, hackathons, as well as offline and online meetings are actively organized in the regions. To date, more than 300 events have been conducted in regional hubs, engaging over 7 thousand participants. Moreover, over 70 companies have joined the Astana Hub network. We are confident that Mangystau Hub will emerge as a pivotal platform for advancing the IT industry in the region," said Daniya Akhmetova, Managing Director of Astana Hub.
The primary objective of Mangystau Hub, initiated by Astana Hub with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of the Mangystau region, and the Sergek Group, is to cultivate a thriving local IT community and foster the sustainable growth of IT talent within the region. The hub will host various events, trainings, and conferences aimed at enhancing the skills of local IT specialists and nurturing innovative projects.
During the inauguration of Mangystau Hub, eight technology projects were presented: AMS SYSTEM, qMeta, Mediana Services Limited, Smart EDUS, AGSA, Libsystem.kz, Rebels, Gylym.ai, and EcoAvtomat.
