CEVF 2025, the Largest Venture Forum in the Region, Kicks Off in Almaty
On June 5, the Central Eurasian Venture Forum (CEVF), the premier event for startups and investors across Central Eurasia, officially opened in Almaty. The forum is being held at The Ritz-Carlton Almaty, with Astana Hub serving as the title partner.

The program features dozens of sessions, workshops, a startup expo, the Startup Battle competition, the CEVF Awards ceremony, exclusive events for investors, and an evening VC Afterparty.
Astana Hub is represented in the forum program by two key participants:
– Nazgul Baytemirova, Advisor to the CEO of Astana Hub on Venture Capital, will moderate the panel session “New VC Playbook: Will a Fund of Funds Spark a New Era for the Venture Market?”
– Tanat Uskembayev, Managing Director at Astana Hub and forum speaker, will present on startup support initiatives, the development of IT service exports, and the promotion of Kazakhstan’s tech industry on the global stage.
The forum gathers leading figures from the venture capital ecosystem of Central Asia and beyond. Among them: Murat Abdrakhmanov (MA7 Ventures), Nurdaulet Bazylbekov, the region’s largest private investor with backing in Y Combinator startups, Bakht Niyazov, with a portfolio of over 30 international projects, Darsh Singh Mann from Stanford’s StartX accelerator, John Cole from U.S.-based Calculated Leap Ventures, and Abdulazal Toshkhojayev, Managing Partner of Uzbekistan’s first national venture fund, among others.
