The Open Day gathered talented and ambitious participants who are not only following the development of artificial intelligence but also aiming to build their own solutions. For many of them, the hackathon represents an opportunity to test ideas, build MVPs, and bring AI products to market.
The official part of the event was opened by Illyas Makashev, Advisor to the CEO of Astana Hub. In his speech, he emphasized that AlemPlus was designed as an infrastructure platform for AI developers and startups.
“Alem Plus is a platform created to simplify access for the Astana Hub community to the tools needed for building AI solutions. This includes LLM models, databases, code delivery tools, as well as no-code and low-code SaaS platforms. Our users prototype solutions, build and launch MVPs, or use Alem Plus tools inside their own products. We want hackathon participants to build MVPs for their startup ideas using our platform,” said Illyas Makashev, Advisor to the CEO of Astana Hub.
Dauren Rakhimzhanov, Managing Director of the Digital Initiatives Fund of the Eurasian Development Bank, also addressed the participants, wishing them success and emphasizing the importance of developing the AI ecosystem in the region. Aldamzhar Kiikbayev, Director of the AI Products Office at Astana Hub, further presented the capabilities of the Alem Plus platform and outlined what teams should expect during the intensive development days ahead.
After the official part, teams proceeded with registration on the AlemPlus platform. Based on the selection results, an expert committee will identify 10 finalists who will present their projects at the Demo Day. Evaluation will focus not only on technical implementation but also on practical value—how useful, market-relevant, and scalable the solutions are.
The main goal of the hackathon is to build MVP-level AI startups that solve real user and business problems, where artificial intelligence is a core product component rather than an add-on feature. One of the most interactive parts of the program was a special offline quest for participants, and all teams received exclusive hackathon merchandise.
Participating teams include Claude Code Warriors (Kyrgyzstan), EQUUS (Kyrgyzstan), Outtalent (Kyrgyzstan), Rabbit (Uzbekistan), All-in (Uzbekistan), Team Perspective (Tajikistan), ustaBIM.online (Kyrgyzstan), Verta (Uzbekistan), as well as teams from Kazakhstan such as OTA, Luminai, QAIT.dev, Delphi, Huquq, Team Spirit, MonoLab, Larp Factory, Utopia 20, PelvioraAI, Woolet, MoonExist, Madagascar, DOGGERS, and others.
The final results of the AlemPlus Hackathon 2026 will be announced on May 22 at the Demo Day, where the best teams will pitch their projects and the winners will be awarded. For many participants, this could become the first step toward launching a full-fledged AI startup and entering the international market.
