Astana Hub turns 3 years old: achievements in numbers
In three years of activity more than 1000 events for 55 000 listeners were held, more than 10 000 people were trained in the basics of IT business, 849 startups were incubated and 232 startups were accelerated.
The hub has a special tax regime for both Kazakhstani and foreign participants. It has already attracted more than 500 IТ-companies, almost 50 from such countries as Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Israel, UAE, South Korea, China, Japan, Singapore, UK, USA to the technopark.
For three years, Astana Hub has been creating unique opportunities for participants: tax preferences, start-up visas, development programs with free workspace, and access to educational events. Foreign participants can also take advantage of a special visa regime for up to 5 years.
In three years, startups earned 166 billion tenge and attracted 48.4 billion tenge in investments, grants and loans. Thanks to the tax benefits IT-companies saved 14.9 billion tenge.
In September 2021 Astana Hub launched Tech Orda program, which will provide 100 Kazakhstani citizens with quotas of up to 600,000 tenge to study in leading programming schools.
Five startups each received 20 million tenge ($47,000) to develop their product as part of the Seed Money program.
