InDrive is being extensively updated in Kazakhstan

New design, non–cash payments, improved Comfort tariff - InDrive has started a large-scale service upgrade from Almaty and a number of other cities, but gradually new functions will become available to all residents of Kazakhstan.

InDrive, a global transportation and urban services platform, has unveiled an updated app in Kazakhstan. The card payment option has been launched, the largest interface update in recent years has been carried out, and the standard of car quality in the Comfort tariff has been raised. To further draw attention to the innovations, InDrive canceled all commissions for drivers in Almaty for several months, which means that drivers can now earn even more.

Kazakhstan is InDrive's home market. The company was launched here 11 years ago and currently has its largest operational hub in Almaty. Along with the development of the operational part of the business, the company invests a lot in improving the quality and convenience of the application for users – drivers and passengers. But the updates introduced in the spring of 2025 were the most ambitious for the company in the last few years.

“Almaty is one of the key cities for us, here we have focused on improving the quality of cars and the level of service for urban trips. For example, we are continuing the gradual introduction of bank card payments to make trips with InDrive even more convenient for passengers who prefer cashless payment. It is now available to our users in Almaty. The introduction of card payment significantly expands the audience of users of the application, attracting new passengers,” said Aray Bekembayev, InDrive Country Manager in Kazakhstan.

New design. First, the company has updated the design of the app, making it more user-friendly and modern. The new interface will make it easier for passengers to choose the type of trip and class of car, as well as increase the convenience of using other services inside the application (long-distance travel, courier delivery and cargo transportation).

Non-cash payment by card. Secondly, the company has added the ability to pay for trips with a bank card. Passengers can now choose which type of payment is preferable for them: cash, transfer via Kaspi and Halyk services, or bank card. To use this feature, passengers need to link their card to the InDrive app in the payment methods section.

The bank card payment function is currently available for residents of Almaty and Karaganda, but the list of cities will expand in the future.

The Comfort tariff is even more comfortable. InDrive has relaunched the Comfort tariff. In addition to increasing the requirements for drivers and the quality of service, this tariff will be served by high-class cars no older than 4 years (production no later than 2021).

The updated Comfort was launched in several cities at once: Almaty, Astana, Karaganda, Aktobe, Pavlodar and Rudny.

The “Hitchhiking” fare. In the cities of Astana, Karaganda, Temirtau, Rudny, Kyzylorda and Atyrau, the Hitchhiker's fare has been launched, which allows passengers to make joint city trips and share the fare. As a result, passengers save money, and drivers earn more.

0% commission and an advertising campaign. To support the large-scale service update, InDrive has launched several exciting promotions. In order to attract the attention of drivers, the company canceled the service fee in Almaty until June 1. This means that drivers will now be able to earn even more by making trips on their own terms!

And to attract the attention of a wide audience, InDrive launched a large-scale advertising campaign featuring popular actor and director Nurlan Koyanbayev and famous singer Saddradin.
