The results of Hexlet's first year of participation in TECH ORDA

Our first year in the TECH ORDA program has ended, and we are sharing our results and plans.

TECH ORDA is a state initiative of the ICRIAP of the Republic of Kazakhstan based on the Astana Hub, which provides an opportunity to learn IT professions for free. The goal of the program is to train 20,000 specialists by 2025 and solve the shortage of personnel in the IT sector.

Hexlet started working in Kazakhstan in 2023, and this year for the first time joined the program with four directions: frontend, Python, Java and PHP development.

The response exceeded expectations: 1,060 applications for participation in the program. After a three—stage selection, 10 students started studying - 7 came on their own, 3 were sent by the employer.

The participants showed high motivation and willingness to study for 40+ weeks in order to change their profession. Students successfully cope with the program, despite its complexity.

7 people have reached the end of their studies. 4 Frontend students are learning the basics of programming, JavaScript, and application development. 3 Python students study the basics of programming, data structures, and creating backend systems.

The program really works — people get high-quality knowledge and prepare for a career in IT.

TECH ORDA shows that government support for IT education yields real results. We continue to work on training qualified specialists for the development of Kazakhstan's digital economy.
