In today's world, where innovation and technology are becoming key drivers of economic growth, access to relevant information and resources is critically important. International Project of Technology and Innovation Support Centers (CPT) The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is a platform that provides this access, supporting innovators and researchers around the world.

The main purpose of the CTI is to support the creation and development of innovations by providing access to information about technologies that can be freely used to develop new products and technologies. The CTI centers offer a wide range of services, ranging from assistance in finding patent information to advice on technology commercialization.

The CPT centers are located in universities, national patent offices and research organizations. They provide access to patent databases, scientific publications and other sources of technical information. Thus, innovators and entrepreneurs can study existing technologies and adapt them to their needs, bypassing the expensive development process from scratch.

The CPT project helps accelerate the innovation process by providing the necessary tools for:

• Search for technical solutions: access to global patent databases helps to find existing technologies and inventions.
• Market Analysis: The CPT provides analytical tools for evaluating potential markets and finding niches for new products.
• Intellectual property protection: Consulting on patents and trade secrets helps to protect innovations and manage intellectual property rights.

Since the launch of the CTI, dozens of centers have been established around the world, each of which adapts to local conditions and needs. This global network facilitates the exchange of knowledge and experience between countries and regions, strengthening the global innovation community.

The CTI project continues to expand, involving more and more countries and regions. This contributes not only to the development of innovation, but also stimulates economic development at the local and global levels. The support of those who are at the forefront of scientific and technical research is a guarantee that the future will be filled with new and useful technologies for everyone. 

Today, more than 1,400 TSCs operate in 90 countries, providing support to researchers, inventors and entrepreneurs. Since the beginning of the implementation of the CPT program in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2021, the Republican State Enterprise "National Institute of Intellectual Property" of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter – NIIS) has been cooperating within the framework of bilateral agreements on the establishment of CPT with 23 the university (and one organization, the Science Foundation).

In 2023, 5 new TSCs were opened in four regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in four regions on the basis of leading universities. These centers, located in cities such as Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kokshetau, Turkestan and Almaty, actively support innovation activities by providing access to databases such as Patentscope and Espacenet, and promoting the commercialization of intellectual property.
