The QAZAQ IT community was created to develop and unite representatives from various fields of IT, networking, sharing experiences and developing partnerships. To date, QAZAQ IT has united more than 4 thousand participants in Almaty and Astana. The community formerly known as Almaty IT Community was renamed QAZAQ IT community to better reflect its national scale and mission.

The founder of the community is Asem Bolatzhan, Advisor to the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The community's activists already include more than 30 people who, with Aigerim Kilybayeva, CEO of the QAZAQ IT Community, organize free IT events such as global meetups, conferences, QAZAQ IT Awards, workshops and hackathons, IT Gorelnik, business breakfasts, career guidance events and much more. In two years The QAZAQ IT community has managed to establish partnerships with more than 35 companies and implement more than 60 events in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Development, Akimat Almaty, universities and IT companies.

The ICRIAP of the Republic of Kazakhstan actively supports the efforts of the QAZAQ IT community, and in 2024, 28 community activists received letters of appreciation on behalf of the Ministry for their invaluable contribution to the development of the country's IT sector.
