The presentation of the new data processing center (DPC) of Kazteleport JSC took place in Astana. The new Yerementau data center is certified by the Uptime Institute at the Tier III Facility level. This is the eighth data center, which is part of the republican network of data centers of the company.

The data center is located in a separate building in the center of Astana and is designed for 100 server racks. The area of all machine rooms is 366 m2, and the power per rack is from 7 to 14 kW. This infrastructure platform opens up new opportunities for the development of IT projects of companies and the state.

Yerementau data center has been certified by the independent reputable organization Uptime Institute in terms of reliability of Tier III Design and Tier III Facility. This status confirms the high degree of availability of data centers, equipment and data of customer companies - at least 99.982%. The availability of certification of this level demonstrates that the performance and reliability of the data center meets all international standards and allows maintenance of data center equipment without disconnecting the payload.

"Data center certification is a very long, time–consuming and sometimes painful process. We are working through the entire project, collecting all the information, checking the documentation. After construction, an on-site audit takes place, during which we check how the data center reacts to full load and emergency situations. It is important for us to make sure that the data center will work consistently well in different conditions. And only after passing all the procedures can we issue a certificate. The Yerementau data center and the Kazteleport team passed all the checks with dignity," said Konstantin Korolev, Director of Business Development at the Uptime Institute.

The new data center has uninterrupted power supply, security, constant 24/7 technical support, as well as:

• round-the-clock access to servers;
• equipped offices for work in the data center building; 
• everything necessary for storing equipment and tools;
• convenient infrastructure for loading and unloading operations;
• special rooms for the preparation, testing of equipment and repair work on the territory of the data center.

At the moment, Kazteleport JSC is the first company in Kazakhstan that has received the largest number of Uptime Institute certifications – 4, and the only company in the country that owns 2 certified data centers in its own network.
