A series of workshops on working with Google Artificial Intelligence tools is being held in the regions of Kazakhstan together with GDG.

Build with AI I/O Extended Oral 2024

On May 13, an event was held in Uralsk under the auspices of Jaiq Hub — Google I/O Extended 2024 - Oral at KazIITU University. The main purpose of the event was to study the main tools for working with artificial intelligence that help in development, as well as the main functions that these tools are aimed at. Also on May 16, the Google I/O Extended 2024 - Astana event was held in Astana Hub with the support of the Astana Hub Regional Development Office.

The speakers were:

- Vrijraj Singh is the Technical Director (CTO) of AGROP and Google Developers Expert on Firebase and Web technologies. He gave a presentation on "Gen AI for Web Developers", in which he talked about Gemini, its API and use cases together with Google Data Studio. Vrijraj demonstrated how to create web applications using Gemini.

- Kartik Derasari - Google Developer Expert for Google Cloud, organizer of Google Developers Group in Ahmedabad, Google Cloud Champion Innovator. Kartik made a presentation on "Building Multi-Modal Experiences for your Business with Gemini", in which he discussed the creation of Gen AI solutions from concept to deployment and monitoring, and also showed examples of the use of Gen AI in various industries.

Together with GDG, online webinars on working with artificial intelligence were held with the participation of international experts:

Google I/O Extended: Alexander Petrov is a doctoral student at the University of Glasgow. In his workshop, Alexander talked about modern methods such as BERT4Rec and how they are used to achieve the goals of the recommendations. Having rich scientific and practical experience, including working with such giants of the IT industry as Yandex and Amazon, as well as experience in launching his own startup E-Contenta, Alexander shared valuable knowledge with the participants.

Google I/O Extended: Kirutika Subramani is a graduate student at Mila - Quebec AI Institute, Google Developer Expert in machine learning, winner of two IBM Champions (AI and Data) nominations, author of two books. The webinar "Guided Tour of Generative AI and Vertex AI Studio", held on June 19, included a discussion of the basics of generative artificial intelligence, the architecture of large language models, the methodology of hints along the chain of reasoning, as well as the configuration and use of Vertex AI Studio.

Also on June 20, a Speaker Talk was held in the city of Koneyev with Askar Aituov, coordinator for relations with GDG developers from Central Asia. At this event, the possibilities of Google I/O and its application in startups, science and management were discussed.
