Important information for founders and startups from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

A couple of days ago, Notion decided to stop providing its services to clients from Russia in connection with the sanctions of September 8 this year. If you are a client (especially a founder or startup) from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, this may directly affect you if:

You opened your account at Notion when you studied in Russia and have ever paid for it from a Russian bank account. Even if you now live anywhere else in the world, your account will be blocked and your data will be deleted on September 9th. If you opened your account while you were in Russia, but never paid for it using a Russian bank card, you will be able to use your account outside of Russia.

If you run your website, docs, roadmap or wiki on the Notion platform, your site will not be available in Russia... I never thought I'd say this, but it turns out there are times when Tilda can be a better Idea for a startup.In any case: make a data export just in case, so that you don't suddenly lose your years-old ideas and content.
