NIS Hackathon 2026 for schoolchildren to be held in Kazakhstan

Taraz, March 2026NIS Hackathon 2026, a two—day competition for students in grades 9-12 of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, will be held on March 19-20, 2026. The event is aimed at developing students' programming skills, analytical thinking and teamwork, as well as popularizing IT and engineering trends among young people.

As part of the hackathon, participants will form teams and work for two days to create their own digital solutions. Students will have to go through all the stages of project development: from idea generation and design to prototyping and presentation of the finished product in front of an expert jury.

The main purpose of the event is to provide students with the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice, try themselves as developers and learn how to work in a limited time environment. Participants will be able to demonstrate programming skills, data analysis, project thinking and presentation of technological solutions.

The hackathon will become not only a competitive platform, but also a space for the exchange of experience and knowledge. Participants will be able to interact with mentors and experts in the field of information technology, receive professional recommendations and meet like-minded people from different schools.

Following the results of the hackathon, the teams will present the developed projects to the jury. The best solutions will be awarded with special awards and prizes.

The organizers note that such events play an important role in the development of digital competencies among schoolchildren and help to form a new generation of information technology specialists. The NIS Hackathon 2026 also helps to support talented youth and develop an innovative culture among students.
