Astana Hub will collaborate with the Mongolian Technopark.

A memorandum of mutual cooperation was signed on June 9th between the CEO of the international technopark Astana Hub, Magzhan Madiyev, and the director of the National Park of Information Technology in Mongolia, Jargalsaihan Zolzaya, as part of the ICT Expo Mindgolia 2023, a major event in the field of information technology and communication, held in Ulaanbaatar.

The agreement entails joint work in the development of the startup ecosystem, creation and provision of innovative programs, attracting investments, and enhancing qualifications.

"We are pleased to collaborate with the National Park of Information Technology and develop the startup ecosystem in our countries. I would like to note that several promising startups from Mongolia, such as Fibo.cloud, Metaver, and Cody, are participants of Silkway Accelerator and Hero Training, joint programs of Astana Hub with Google for Startups and Draper University. We are confident that our partnership will further strengthen the integration in the field of technology entrepreneurship between our countries," said Magzhan Madiyev, CEO of Astana Hub.

Recall that the Mongolian startup Fibo.cloud is one of the 20 startups selected through the joint pre-acceleration program of Astana Hub and Draper University and is currently undergoing acceleration in Silicon Valley in the USA. Last year, Fibo.cloud increased its monthly revenue by 22 times after participating in the Silkway Accelerator (a joint program of Astana Hub and Google for Startups) by signing a contract with the Mongolian government for state cloud services and successfully reaching an agreement with a telecommunications company in Kazakhstan.

Another participant from Mongolia, the microlearning platform Metaver, achieved similar success and entered the Indian market during the Silkway Accelerator. The team of Cody, a versatile multi-channel trading platform with extensive customization capabilities, is participating in the third cohort of the Silkway Accelerator, which will conclude in a month.

It is worth noting that more than 100 leading IT sector organizations, as well as major international technology companies, participated in the ICT Expo Mongolia 2023, which took place from June 9th to 11th in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar.

According to the organizers, this year's event is distinguished by its environmental friendliness. "We held a paperless exhibition using digital boards, mini-applications, and QR codes without the use of handouts and print advertising," they said.

During the three-day event, in addition to official meetings and signing agreements, various activities were organized in the children's park in the center of Ulaanbaatar, including laser shows, hologram and light shows, esports, scooter competitions, cosplay shows, job fairs, and startup presentations.

The general organizer of the event is the National Park of Information Technology in Mongolia with the support of the Ministry of Electronic Development and Communications, and the Ministry of Education and Science.
