Kazakhstan aims to boost IT service exports to $1 billion by 2026

The country's computer services exports reached nearly $530 million last year. By 2026, this figure is expected to double, a goal set by the Head of State for the Government.

"Currently, we have 1,500 companies registered as participants in Astana Hub, with over 400 involving foreign participation. Exports account for approximately 35-40% of our participants' revenue. In 2023, the country's total computer services exports were valued at $529 million, while our IT sector participants contributed $315 million of that total. This means that roughly 60% of the country's exports in this sector come from our participants," said Zhansaya Kalybekova, Director of the Office for Regulating Participants of the Astana Hub Technology Park.

In the first quarter of this year alone, IT service exports reached nearly $150 million, indicating that the industry continues to gain momentum. This growth is supported by government initiatives aimed at expanding the global presence of Kazakhstani digital solutions, according to experts.
