Winners of Alem Cup Announced at Digital Bridge 2023

Alem School, in collaboration with the international technopark Astana Hub, has successfully concluded the annual programming championship - Alem Cup 2023. This event aims not only to support and promote programming among the youth but also to provide talented programmers with the opportunity to showcase their potential.

Alem Cup 2023 is an open online programming championship where individuals of any age and background can participate. Tournament participants created artificial intelligence for bots, which then competed against bots of other players in a computer game.

The competition started on September 8 and concluded on October 13 as part of the Digital Bridge 2023 forum. A total of 330 participants registered on the platform, and before the final, three players with the highest ratings were selected. The championship final was held in a 1x1x1 format, where participants competed against each other. Approximately 10 games were played in total.

The first place was secured by the team "mus11110 zhangir3," represented by Zhangir Makhmutov and Ustaz Mustafa. It's worth noting that Zhangir had already claimed the first place in the 2021 championship. The "mus11110 zhangir3" team was awarded a prize of 1,000,000 tenge for their victory.

The second place was shared between the teams "TAFH" and "subudei," as they showed a draw in the number of points, each receiving 9 points. Each team was awarded half of the prize fund, totaling 550,000 tenge. These teams were represented by individual players Talim Aushakhman and Birimzhan Meyram. It's noteworthy that Talim Aushakhman is only 16 years old, and among all the finalists, he is the only non-Alem student, making his success even more impressive.

All participants who successfully passed the championship sandbox were awarded certificates of participation in Alem Cup 2023.

As a reminder, on October 12-13, the Digital Bridge 2023, the largest IT forum in Central Asia, took place in the capital of Kazakhstan. The forum was organized by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the city administration of Astana, and the international tech park Astana Hub, with Kaspi.kz as the general sponsor.
