President of the Republic of Slovenia Visits Astana Hub

President of the Republic of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar, who arrived in Kazakhstan on an official visit, visited the international tech park Astana Hub.


The tour of the tech park was led by the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhaslan Madiyev. During the visit, he presented the structure of the hub and its key areas of focus.

Accompanying the President were the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, the Ambassador of Slovenia to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of the President’s Administration and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The delegation visited Tomorrow School, Kazakhstan’s first peer-to-peer artificial intelligence school established by Astana Hub. The school operates on the 01 Edu platform, developed by French programmer and educator Nicolas Sadirac. Students complete over 50 projects and study more than 20 programming languages, including Golang, Rust, JavaScript, and Python. In the final stage of the program, students choose a specialization such as AI engineer, software developer, full-stack developer, mobile app developer, and other areas.

The delegation was also introduced to the work of leading tech companies such as inDrive, Damumed, and Kazakhstan Garysh Sapary. Company representatives shared insights into their operations, key achievements, and innovative solutions developed both in Kazakhstan and internationally.

It is worth noting that Astana Hub is the largest tech park in Central Asia, focused on creating and developing an ecosystem for tech business, training tech professionals, and supporting startup projects. To date, more than 1,600 tech companies are registered at the hub, including over 425 with foreign participation. These companies benefit from comprehensive support, including business development and scaling programs, special tax and visa conditions, educational and informational services, and access to physical infrastructure.
