Innovation grants are being offered for projects aimed at commercializing the outcomes of scientific and/or scientific and technical activities, which include the implementation of information and communication technologies, hardware, and software systems.

To participate in the competition, applicants must complete the online form on the astanahub.com portal and submit all necessary documents and materials alongside their application. The status of applications can be monitored through the personal account on the portal.

The competition consists of two main stages:

1. Commercialization of technologies - Stage 1: April 8 to May 8, 2024, until 18:00.

The maximum grant amount is 20 million tenge. Requirements for this stage include completion of a business incubation or acceleration program, demonstration of scientific activity results or an experimental product sample, a team of 2-5 specialists, small business status, and co-financing of at least 10%.

2. Commercialization of technologies - Stage 2: May 27 to June 27, 2024, until 18:00. The maximum grant amount is 80 million tenge.

Requirements for this stage include a finished product, a marketing plan, securing investments by 30%, a team of 2-7 people including a commercialization specialist, and co-financing of at least 10%.

"In December 2023, the Technology Policy Council, led by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, initiated the launch of the Single Window of the National Innovation System on the portal astanahub.com. The primary aim of the portal, under the guidance of the ICRIAP RK, is to foster Kazakhstan's innovation ecosystem, spanning from the development of innovative solutions to their application in subsoil user companies. Participants in the ecosystem have the opportunity to access government support and post task requirements, as well as discover technological solutions. Moreover, applications for innovation support from other authorized bodies will soon be open," said Zhanerke Egeubayeva, Managing Director of Astana Hub. 

Furthermore, innovators across all stages of idea development, from research and development (R&D) to commercialization and export, can receive assistance in various sectors, including the implementation of digital solutions in subsoil user companies. Support programs are now available not only for IT sector representatives but also for researchers, innovators, subsoil users, and other ecosystem participants.
