Bishkek hosted Astana Hub meeting with Kyrgyz IT market

On April 29, Astana Hub and Hi-Tech Park of Kyrgyzstan held a meeting with IT companies in Bishkek. The event was attended by about 60 representatives of the IT market of Kyrgyzstan.


At the meeting, Astana Hub presented support tools for IT companies interested in scaling to the Central Asian market: tax benefits, simplified visa and labor regime for foreign participants, training and assistance in finding investments for technology business development.

Asis Abakirov, the founder of the Kyrgyz High Technology Park, made a welcoming speech, outlining the importance of joining efforts of the Central Asian countries: Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan to develop the technology market and joint entry of IT-enterprises into the global market.

"Central Asia has created an excellent environment for IT entrepreneurs and startups; tax preferences and more, which enable companies to develop and grow," said Azis Abakirov.

Anna Batalova, director of the office of support and participants of the technopark and Azizbek Bakiev, director of the office of international relations, investments and export spoke on behalf of Astana Hub. Azizbek Bakiev told about acceleration programs of Astana Hub, and possibilities to enter the international markets and attract investments. The Astana Hub delegation identified the importance of cooperation between Central Asian IT communities for the development of startups in the country and entering the international arena.
