International Digital Trade Fair Hosted at Astana Hub

On April 19, 2024, an international digital trade fair was held at the Astana Hub International Technopark, with representatives from member countries of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) participating. The event brought together entrepreneurs, startups, and leaders in digital trade, including guests from the People's Republic of China, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and other states.

"Our visit underscores our shared commitment to harnessing digital innovations for regional prosperity. As representatives of the digital and technological sectors, we intend to deepen cooperation within the CAREC region, exploring opportunities to stimulate the economy and address challenges. Today's event at Astana Hub embodies the spirit of partnership and progress, uniting vision and action in shaping a brighter digital future," emphasized Arndt Husar, Senior Governance Specialist at the Asian Development Bank.

In addition to speaker presentations, participants had the opportunity to engage more closely with technological projects during a live networking session. Among such companies were Forest Hero, Diagnostics at Home, i-Line.kz, Qala.AI, Tastamat, TrustMe, BTS Digital, and others. This allowed them to showcase their products and solutions to venture capitalists and investors, as well as establish business connections and foster new acquaintanceships.

Among the companies participating in the fair was the world's largest trading platform, Alibaba Group. During the event, Alibaba representatives held meetings with several promising startups from Astana Hub, exploring opportunities for collaboration and integration into the global e-commerce ecosystem.

The digital trade fair was organized with the support of the Asian Development Bank and the Astana Hub International Technopark. Bringing together around 80 participants, the event served as an example of successful cooperation and opened new horizons for business development and the strengthening of the economic potential of Central Asia.
