Datanomix at CFO Summit 2025: Data, AI, and the Future of the Digital Economy

On March 5, Almaty hosted the twelfth CFO Summit, one of the most significant business events of the year, bringing together about 500 participants. Among the participants are top managers of leading Kazakhstani and international companies, investors, financiers, independent experts and government representatives. The forum focuses on digital transformation, the impact of AI on business and the economic prospects of the country.

Datanomix became a sponsor of the CFO Summit and presented a number of innovative solutions for automating and improving the efficiency of business processes. As part of the event, we organized a booth where we demonstrated practical examples of using large language models (LLM) in corporate tasks. Among the cases presented are the automated analysis of technical specifications of public procurement, the identification of errors in financial data when preparing management reports, and the implementation of the FP&A Data Quality Assurance system, which helps monitor the quality of financial data and improve the reliability of reporting.

As part of the summit's business program, Datanomix executives delivered presentations and a master class. Vitaly Trenkenshou conducted a workshop to assess the readiness of data for the implementation of AI and described how financial directors can use analytical tools to increase profitability and business efficiency.

Alexander Polorotov presented the results of a study on the use of AI in Kazakhstan, focusing on the problem of data quality and the impact of this factor on the success of AI projects.

Based on the results of the study "AI in Kazakhstan: an inside look" conducted on the basis of respondents from medium and large organizations in Kazakhstan,

✔️ 58% experience a shortage of AI skills among employees

Only 12% of companies see a real return on investment in AI

And 68.2% believe that a lack of data for working with AI, disorganized/unreliable data, and data management problems lead to the collapse of AI projects in the organization.

Alexander Polotorov supported the key findings of the study with real-life examples: for example, how Datanomix has increased trust in the P&L report and data quality and is already using AI to classify transactions, identify errors in data, and generate action items for those responsible.

The final chord of the summit was the panel discussion "Ambitions of a young Kazakh dream – to ride a unicorn". Alexander Polorotov took part in the discussion of the potential of the IT sector as a driver of the economy and opportunities for creating world-class technology startups in Kazakhstan.

When we talk about future Kazakhstan unicorns, it is important that young people have a clear idea of how they appear. Sometimes it seems that unicorns are grazing somewhere in our steppe, all that remains is to catch them, saddle them, - Alexander Polorotov.

Datanomix continues to develop AI solutions that help businesses make more accurate and informed decisions. Participation in the CFO Summit was another opportunity for us to share our experience with leading market players and contribute to the development of Kazakhstan's digital economy.
