On November 21, 2024, an online conference was held at Datanomix Academy, where students of the Tech Orda program presented their projects. They are enrolled in the course "Application Development in Qlik Sense. From collecting requirements to creating dashboards of the "basic level. The conference became an important stage of their training and a platform where analytical ideas turned into practical solutions.

Opening of the conference

The event began with a welcome speech from the organizers, who outlined the key goals of the meeting: to inspire participants to professional growth, strengthen the community of analytics enthusiasts and exchange ideas. Special attention was paid to the fact that graduate projects are examples of solving real problems, and not just educational cases.

The best projects of the conference

Of the many worthy works, five projects stood out in particular, which received high marks from tutors and audience of the conference:

1. Alexander Vasilenko — "Squads at the 2018 FIFA World Cup"

The work was impressed by the professional design. From the cover to the style of all the sheets, every detail is thought out. The convenient location of the buttons and thematic visualization made the dashboard fascinating and easy to understand.

Alexander Vasilenko shared:

The conference was a valuable experience for me. It was interesting to see and hear the work of fellow students, to get acquainted with their approaches and possible application of projects. We were especially inspired by the different design options and presentation of information — it expands horizons and gives new ideas for our own projects.

2. Alexander Glinyany — "Payment receipt analytics in the AXIS"

This project demonstrates the practical value for AXIS control. The uniform design style, the thoughtful arrangement of filters and the color scheme emphasized the high level of performance.

Alexander Glinyany shared:

Having completed the basic level, I feel much more confident in the development of dashboards and the analysis process. This training combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills, which helps me deepen my understanding of analytics.

3. Tauekel Akkisev — "Salaries in the field of Data Science"

An interesting theme and a logical page structure provided easy navigation. The harmonious color scheme and thoughtful interface emphasize the professionalism of the author.

4. Aydin Kabdykarimov — "Analysis of migration flows to Italy"

The work was distinguished by an original approach: using scrolling to display data made interaction with the dashboard intuitive and enjoyable.

5. Aziz Bektemisov — "Netflix Content Report for 2019"

The project captivated the audience with its design. The graphics, buttons, and other elements create a harmonious visual style that makes viewing data fascinating, almost like choosing a new series on Netflix.

Discussion and dialogue with participants

During the conference, participants actively asked questions, shared their impressions and discussed projects in the chat. One of the most discussed topics was the use of ChatGPT to create datasets. The graduates showed how artificial intelligence can complement the work of analysts, which aroused the interest of the audience. 

As one of the participants of the conference noted:

The course tutor noted:

I was pleased to see how you approached the choice of data sets - they were almost never repeated, and Netflix became the leader in interest again. I would especially like to mention the works with thoughtful style and design: such projects always make the best impression and look professional.

Conclusion

The conference was a great opportunity for Tech Orda students to share their successes, get feedback and be inspired to new achievements. The organizers expressed gratitude to all participants and speakers, noting that each performance strengthens the community of analysts. 

In recognition, all the speakers were awarded the books "Date Yoga: competent work with data", and access to the training course was extended for 1 month.

The conference was not only the result of the hard work of the students, but also served as an impetus for future projects that may open up new horizons in the field of analytics and data. We look forward to the next meetings and new successes of our students!
