Dear startups,

We are happy to share information about the launch of applications for participation in the prestigious international competition "Start-Up Energy Transition Award" (SET Award), organized by the World Energy Council in cooperation with the German Energy Agency (DENA).

The competition provides a unique opportunity for startups and young companies from all over the world to offer innovative solutions in the field of new energy sources and combating climate change. Over the past seven years, more than 3,100 startups from more than 100 countries have participated in the competition.

In 2023 , the competition is held in the following five categories:

• clean energy and storage;
• industry;
• buildings and construction;
• mobility and transport;
• Ensuring universal access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy sources (Sustainable Development Goal No. 7).

Startups founded no more than 10 years ago can apply. 

The advantages of participating in the competition include:

• the prize to the winner in each category is 10,000 euros;

•  acquaintance with famous members of the jury;

• networking with potential investors;

• participation in SET Global Network;

• access to exclusive private events;

• Three finalists from each category will perform at the SET Tech Festival in Berlin.

Applications are accepted until November 29, 2023. In March 2024 , 15 finalists will be announced, the winners will be announced on March 19, 2024 at the SET Tech Festival in Berlin.

We invite startups of Kazakhstan to take part in this exciting international competition, which provides unique opportunities for development and recognition on a global scale.
