In May 2024, Zhambyl Hub hosted the final of a major IT startup competition "Idea Battle". The competition included three key stages: a four-day incubator, a semi-final and a grand final Demo Day.

Out of 55 applications, 30 promising projects were selected that underwent intensive training in the basics of Lean Startup, UI/UX design and financial models for startups. The best 15 projects advanced to the semifinals, where they competed for the right to present their ideas to an expert jury.

On May 23, 2024, at the final Demo Day, 15 finalists presented their innovative projects in front of experts from the field of IT and Digital Marketing, as well as in front of an audience of 560 spectators. The event also included a panel discussion "The road to IT hiring or a startup?", which was led by experts from 1Fit, Hamkorlab, Voca and Astana Hub.

The winners of the competition: 

1st place is the Beelieve project, which creates innovative smart hives for bees in order to increase yields and improve conditions for beekeepers; 

2nd place - the Help for Mutes project, which has developed a device to help people with limited speech in communication;

3rd place is the AgriBotics project, which is engaged in optimizing processes in agriculture using advanced technologies.

The Idea Battle competition not only identified talented developers and entrepreneurs in the field of IT, but also confirmed the importance of innovation and creative approaches. This event became a vivid example of the successful development of the technology industry and the creation of promising startups capable of changing the world for the better.
