On DC furnaces, since the increase in power over 60 MW, pressure surges have been formed, which in different years have caused accidents involving the fire of cable products and high-pressure hoses of electrode columns. The reasons for the appearance of surges may be due to an increase in the total moisture of the supplied sh/m and an increase in the concentration of dusty material (waste rock).

The application deadline is April 19. After the selection of applications, on April 24 there will be a visit to the location (Aktobe, Aktobe Ferroalloy Plant) to collect additional information and visually familiarize with the case. You are given 1 month to resolve the case. On May 24, a presentation of solutions and selection of a winner is planned.
