Astana Hub is represented at a major exhibition in Shanghai - China International Import Expo

From November 5 to 10, the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) is taking place in Shanghai. The delegation of our country is headed by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Alihan Smailov.


The event serves as a crucial platform for global trade in goods and services, and this year, Kazakhstan is showcasing its investment, trade, and industrial opportunities through companies and projects in the fields of innovation, export, agriculture, tourism, and logistics.

During the visit to the Kazakhstani commercial stand, exhibition visitors, including delegations from Australia, China, Cuba, Serbia, and other countries, familiarized themselves with the products and offerings of domestic enterprises, including the activities of Astana Hub.

Over the past five years, the international technopark Astana Hub has evolved into the largest innovation hub in Central Asia, becoming the center for the development of the IT industry in the region. The cumulative revenue of IT companies that have become participants in the technopark reached $1.6 billion, the volume of attracted investments reached $517 million, and the number of created jobs exceeded 20,000.

Astana Hub focuses on creating and developing an ecosystem for the IT business, supporting startup projects, and training qualified IT specialists. Currently, the technopark has registered 1,331 IT companies, including 372 with foreign participation. Astana Hub participants receive comprehensive support, including business development and scaling programs, special tax and visa conditions, as well as informational and educational support and access to modern infrastructure.

Exhibition visitors also learned about the activities of companies such as Kazakh Invest and Kazakh Export, the International Center for Cross-Border Cooperation "Khorgos," the Astana International Financial Centre, and others.

It is worth noting that over the past five years, 133 companies from Kazakhstan have participated in the China International Import Expo, leading to lucrative export contracts totaling more than $260 million.
