Astana Hub Launches New Phase of Startup Ecosystem Development in Central Eurasia

Astana Hub has signed eight strategic agreements for startup development at Digital Bridge 2023.


During Central Asia's largest IT forum, held on October 12-13 in the capital, the Astana Hub tech park successfully signed a series of memorandums, including partnership agreements with leading American accelerator Alchemist Accelerator, as well as with venture funds Orbit Startups and Domino VC. These strategic partnerships provide new opportunities for startups from Kazakhstan and Central Eurasia to successfully scale their projects in markets such as the USA, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Turkey, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe.

Among the partners with whom memorandums were signed are companies like State Business Incubator Tajikistan, Begin IT by inDrive, Orbit startups, Alchemist Accelerator, Domino Ventures, TechnoHub Dushanbe, the Court of the International Financial Center in Astana, and the International Arbitration Center of the IFC, as well as Public Found "Accelerate Prosperity."

"Our tech park, as the largest innovation hub in Central Asia, aims to make Kazakhstan a key player in the startup ecosystem. The goal of collaboration is to create a quality platform for startups in Central Eurasia, helping them attract attention from leading investors, experts, and partners, and to develop skills and knowledge necessary for successful competition at an international level. Therefore, we are confident that these partnerships will allow our startups to reach new heights and unleash their potential on the world stage," emphasized Magzhan Madiev, CEO of Astana Hub.

According to the memorandum, Astana Hub and the B2B technology accelerator Alchemist Accelerator plan to develop joint educational programs and events to support startups from Central Eurasia. This includes exchanging expertise and experience, helping entrepreneurs more effectively prepare for successful entry into the global market.

Recall that on October 12-13, during the largest IT forum Digital Bridge 2023 in Central Asia, government bodies, large companies, international tech parks, and other organizations signed 29 documents aimed at developing IT innovations.

Digital Bridge 2023 gathered over 30,000 participants on its platform, including delegations from 30 countries, representatives of more than 300 IT companies, 450 speakers, over 100 investors and business angels, and more than 150 startups. The main theme of the forum this year was - Artificial and Human Intelligence: The right balance.

The two-day forum program included large-scale events such as a plenary session with the participation of the Head of State and one-to-one meetings with him, 30+ panel sessions with international speakers, signing agreements, events from Google for Startups, shooting of the reality show about startups Meet the Drapers, Digital Bridge Awards, Astana Hub Battle, a job fair, and a series of exhibitions - startups and companies, robotics, VC, IT schools, and regional IT hubs.

The organizers of Digital Bridge 2023 were the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of Astana city, and the international tech park Astana Hub. The general sponsor was Kaspi.kz.
