The German delegation visited Astana Hub

Representatives of the Foreign Ministry of Germany - Michael Rentschler, head of the department of economic affairs and sustainable development, and Holger Kramer, head of economic diplomacy, visited the International Technopark of IT startups Astana Hub.


The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the innovative IT ecosystem of Kazakhstan and to consider possible cooperation in the IT sphere.

 "At the moment, many European companies are looking for new regions to expand their business. And we primarily associate Central Asia with Kazakhstan," - said Michael Rentschler.

The guests were accompanied by Yersultan Ermanov, Director of the Department of Development of ICT of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Beibut Tuzelbaev, Director of the International Relations, Investment, and Export Office of Astana Hub. They spoke about Kazakhstan's IT ecosystem and the activities of the technopark and presented several startups.

During the meeting, Danabek Kaliazhdarov, a representative of Alem. School spoke about the activities of Central Asia's first programming school based on the principles of mutual learning.

The delegation also included Michael Harms, executive director of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy; Hovsep Voskanyan, head of the Delegation of German Economy in Central Asia; Papenburg Angela, member of the Board of Directors of "Papenburg AG"; Kropp Wolfgang, CEO of "Svevind"; Grundke Manfred, member of the Board of the GEBA, Managing Partner of Knauf Group; Goldbeck Joachim, CEO of "Goldbeck Solar"; Jan Korner - Head of the German Government Relations Department of Lufthansa, Head of the Lufthansa Berlin Representative Office.
