A delegation from Cuba visits Astana Hub

A delegation from Cuba headed by Armando Rodríguez Batista, Deputy Minister of Science, Technology, and Environment of Cuba (CITMA) visited the Astana Hub technology park. During the meeting, the guests visited the Astana Hub head office and toured the territory of the technology park.


Magzhan Madiyev,  the CEO of Astana Hub, stated that Astana Hub is the largest technology park in Central Asia with a mission to evolve into a hub for innovative project development, foster leading IT companies, and serve as a magnet for young and talented IT professionals from across the globe. He mentioned his interest in collaborating with the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Environment and expressed eagerness to facilitate future cooperation with Cuba.

Deputy Minister Rodríguez Batista discussed the potential of IT in Cuba, highlighting the presence of a technology park at the University of Computer Sciences and the ongoing implementation of electronic government initiatives in the country. He extended an invitation to the CEO of Astana Hub to visit Cuba and participate in next year’s Informática 2025 event.

Ambassador Oscar Santana León, Deputy Director of International Relations Department at CITMA Carlos Méndez García, Director of the International Relations and Investment Office Madi Tazhikenov, and Specialist of the International Relations and Investment Office  Markhabat Zeinegabidenova were also in attendance at the meeting.
