inDrive has launched a free social leadership program in Kazakhstan with the support of regional IT hubs

The first stage of the international social leadership program Beginit by inDrive has started. In six regions of Kazakhstan, 10th-grade students were selected who will learn to implement social projects from the idea to launch. With the support of regional IT hubs and provincial administrations, about a thousand applications were collected. The most active participants were children from the Karaganda and Kostanay regions.


As part of the free training, students will take a course in leadership and project work, learn to create research and social projects, meet their peers from different parts of the country, and receive valuable advice from leaders in the field of entrepreneurship and the creative industry at a boot camp in a training camp in the foothills of Almaty. After training, participants will be able to create and present their own solutions to the social problems of their regions. The finalists will become the owners of valuable prizes and full grants to the new innovative inVision U university in Almaty, and will also receive full funding for the implementation of the social projects created within the program.

"Kazakhstan is a very large country with very talented young people. The activity of the schoolchildren, their desire to change and be changed, amazed and surprised me. Grateful and wide-open eyes give full confidence in the success of their future and the future of the country, and we, in turn, together with the program's partners, will do everything possible to create the most comfortable conditions for their further education," commented Elena Tropinova, head of the Beginit by InDrive project.

This year, the selection rounds took place in the Zhambyl, West Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Karaganda, Pavlodar, and East Kazakhstan regions with active support from Astana Hub and local hubs: Zhambyl IT Hub, Jaiq Hub, Qostanai IT Hub, Terricon Valley, Pavlodar IT Hub, Oskemen IT Hub. For the communities created at these technology parks from the schoolchildren who did not pass the selection, free master classes, lectures, and training seminars will be available throughout the year.
