10 startups challenged an opportunity to participate in Unicorn Battle Asia

As a result of online voting, the startup project iDos Games has been determined as a winner of Unicorn Pitches Central Asia.

“We developed the world`s first multiplayer shooter - ShootGun, working by Play-to-Earn model, which allows gamers to play and at the same time earn cryptocurrency for gaming achievements”, - mentioned by the CTO Aidos Ryskeldinov.

Unicorn Pitches Central Asia is a platform where 10 best startups from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan competed for a chance to get to the next stage of the global pitch competition Unicorn Events by Startup network. The competition took a place on 11 November in an online format at the international technopark of IT-startups Astana Hub, with the support of IT-Park Uzbekistan.

Unicorn Events is one of the biggest international competitions for future unicorns from all over the world.

Startups as Cerebra, Avlo, Parqour, IMAN, BILLZ, E-knot, iDos Games, Jurta Proptech, Connected Home and OQUDA has been proceeded through the screening to participate at Unicorn Pitches.

Startup pitches were evaluated by an expert jury, as Sergei Sergeev, co-founder of the Russian-Finnish startup accelerator Startup Finland; Oxana Raim, director of the private investors club iClub; Shamis Khassenov, co-founder of Esentai Venture Partners; Azhar Babayeva, business development manager at Venture Rocket Eurasia, and other leading business-angels and venture capitalists from Kazakhstan and Russia.

"It was great to be among the 10 startups selected for Unicorn Pitches Central Asia. All the participants are very strong and provide really useful products. Even though I was sure that our project would win, hearing the announcement "the winner is iDos Games" was very nice. Thanks to all participants, the jury and especially Astana Hub for organizing such an event! Now we will be preparing for our performance at Unicorn Battle Asia," shared his impressions Temerlan Kairzhanov, co-founder of the iDos Games project.

The startup that wins the Unicorn Battle Asia will have a chance to present their project in the Unicorn Cup Final, where they will have the opportunity to raise investment and get advice from one of the world's best business angels and venture capital funds.

All participants of the Astana Hub IT-start-up international technopark receive tax preferences. The preferences exempt participants from paying taxes such as CIT, VAT, VAT on imports of goods, royalty tax, personal income tax and social tax for non-residents. This measure of state support allows IT companies to reinvest the savings in the development of their projects.
